What should you charge for your digital product?

Too low and you work for nothing, on a product you look unwilling to stand behind. Too high and nobody clicks until they’ve seen you a hundred times. The calculator gives you the recommended price for your format and its depth — the exact range Novoca applies when it writes a sales page — and what ten, fifty or two hundred sales a month actually leave in your account, on free and on Pro, processing fees included.

Price follows the format, not your follower count

A digital product costs nothing to deliver, so its price has nothing to do with production cost: it measures what the buyer gets to skip. A checklist saves them from forgetting — one-second decision, floor price. A guide saves them the search. A program saves them from deciding every day for weeks — the biggest commitment, so the highest price. A course promises a transformation and only sells to an audience already asking you for the method.

Your audience size doesn’t enter the price. It enters the number of sales: at 25,000 followers, a launch at 0.2-0.8% means 50 to 200 sales; at 2,000 followers, 4 to 16. The same €29 product is still €29 in both cases — cutting the price “because I’m small” divides your income without multiplying your buyers.

The range for each format

These are Novoca’s generation ranges, capped between €14 and €99. “Starter” puts the price at the bottom of the range, “Complete” in the middle, “System” at the top — and this calculator rounds its suggestion to a price ending in 4 or 9. What the Studio commits to is the range, not that ending.

Three levers beyond the unit price

The bonus at checkout. A smaller second product — the shopping list that goes with the recipe guide, the tracker that goes with the program — offered at the moment of payment, at roughly a third of the main price. Some buyers take it, and it’s the simplest way to lift the cart without touching the price of what they came for.

The membership. When your product lives over time — new recipes, new templates every month — a small monthly access is often worth more than one expensive product. It needs payments switched on, not a product sold first.

Anchoring. A page showing a single price leaves the buyer judging it in a vacuum. Two offers (product alone, product plus bonus) give them a reference point, and most pick the second. Novoca builds that reference for you when the bonus is switched on.

Four pricing mistakes

  1. 1 The “just to get started” price

€5 reassures nobody and forces you to sell to hundreds of people to make what a normal price makes in a few dozen. Start in the middle of your format’s range.

  2. 2 The round price

€30 instead of €29, €50 instead of €49: a round price reads like a price nobody thought about. The calculator above always suggests one ending in 4 or 9.

  3. 3 Changing the price every week

Your audience comes back to your page. A price that moves teaches them to wait for the drop. Set it, hold it three months, measure — then decide.

  4. 4 Going Pro too early

Pro (€29/month, 0%) only beats free (10%) from €290 of monthly revenue — processing fees are paid on both plans, so they don’t move that line. Below it, you’re paying a subscription to save a commission you aren’t paying yet.

No product in mind yet? What to sell on TikTok? gives you three ideas for your niche. And once the price is set, what you actually keep on a sale breaks the checkout down to the cent.

Questions about pricing.

Why does the price depend on the format and not on my follower count?+

Because the buyer pays for a gesture, not for your follower count: a checklist is a one-second decision, a program asks weeks of them. Your audience moves the NUMBER of sales, not the unit price — that’s exactly what the 10, 50 and 200 sales scenarios show.

Is this really the price the Studio will suggest?+

It’s the same RANGE, not necessarily the same euro. The calculator uses the per-format range and the global cap (€14-99) the generator applies; the exact price is picked inside that range when your page is written. You can then change it to the euro before publishing.

Free or Pro?+

Free takes 10% per sale plus Stripe processing fees (1.5% + €0.25). Pro costs €29/month: 0% commission, same processing fees. The switch happens at €290 of monthly revenue whatever your price — below that, stay free. The “what you actually keep” tool breaks a single sale down to the cent.

Can I charge more than €99?+

Not through the generator: above that, a TikTok audience stops buying without a call or some hand-holding. If your product is worth more, split it (a main product plus a bonus at checkout) or move to a membership.

Build my product — free

€0/month. Novoca only earns when you sell.

You didn’t need more followers. You needed a way to monetize them.
